Designer Brands is a guide to all the top menswear and womenswear clothing brands in the UK.There are three categories of fashion which can be split into Haute Couture, Ready-to-wear, and Mass Market. We hope to review brands from all three of these categories.
Ready-to-wear fashion are high quality clothes made with great care and often made in small quantities. Ready-to-wear collections are usually presented by fashion houses twice a year in highly anticipated Spring / Summer and Autumn / Winter collections.
Haute Couture is a French word for high fashion and haute couture clothing is made from high-quality, expensive fabric, sewn with extreme attention to detail and finish, often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques and usually just for an individual.
Mass Market fashion caters for a wide range of customers, producing clothes in large quantities and standard sizes. Cheap materials, creatively used, produce affordable fashion. Mass market designers generally adapt the trends set by the famous names in fashion after they have been seen on the catwalks
